Location: Kiev, Ukraine
This two-level apartment in residental complex Sofia, that is located in the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district of the capital, was designed for a young couple.
The first floor plan includes guest restroom, simple white kitchen with island, dining zone, chill zone that took place of the standard balcony and spacious living zone with main accent of permission - metal suspended staircase with plywood steps fixed in the bearing wall of the apartment. Under the stairs tv area and plywood podium with built-in storage.
The second floor contains hidden wardrobe with laundry room, master bathroom, sleeping zone that is very minimalistic and consists only a mattress and working place with paired desks and armchair for breaks.
The apartment turned out to be bright, simple and cozy with a lot of plants: every area has its own green touch, the pendant light with ornamental flowerpot was designed especially for this apartment.
We aimed to design a spacious housing for two young people to fit their lifestyle now : to work from home and spend their free time playing videogames in friends company, and be relevant and adaptable in future.
